About Karina
Functional Medicine Nurse Coach for High-Achieving Women in Midlife | Gut Health, Hormonal Balance & Metabolic Performance
You didn’t land here because you need more wellness advice.
You landed here because something in your body feels different —
and the strategies that once worked no longer deliver the same results.
If you’re a high-achieving woman navigating midlife changes like:
hormonal imbalance
slowed metabolism
gut health issues
fatigue or brain fog
You’re not alone — and you’re not doing anything wrong.
You’re experiencing a biological shift that requires a different strategy.
That’s where my work begins.
I’m Karina — a Registered Nurse, Functional Medicine Coach, and Midlife Performance Strategist.
I specialize in helping high-achieving women restore hormonal balance, metabolic health, and gut function so they can sustain energy, clarity, and long-term vitality.
What makes my approach different is that I don’t ask you to choose between:
conventional medicine
holistic wellness
I bridge both.
With a clinical background and a functional medicine framework, I look at how your gut, hormones, metabolism, and stress response work together — so we can address the root cause of what’s actually happening in your body.
My work is built on what I call:
The Gut-First Performance Model™
This approach focuses on restoring gut health as the foundation for:
hormonal balance
metabolic efficiency
digestion
cognitive clarity
long-term wellness
Because your gut microbiome plays a critical role in:
estrogen metabolism
inflammation regulation
nutrient absorption
energy production
When your gut is supported, your entire system begins to recalibrate.

-
I believe midlife is not a decline, it’s a turning point.
A time when your body asks for:
better inputs
more intentional support
a deeper understanding of how it works
I believe:
gut health is the foundation of hormonal and metabolic balance
sustainable change comes from consistency, not extremes
high-achieving women don’t need more discipline — they need a smarter strategy
And most importantly:
I believe this phase of life is an opportunity to lead yourself differently — with precision, awareness, and confidence.
With extensive trainings from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM), I'm using a root-cause approach to healing that leverages the fundamentals asking "why are you having these symptoms" instead of having symptoms being managed with prescriptions or invasive procedures.
Working with me as your executive wellness coach is a journey of self-discovery to get to a point where you can balance your physical, mental, social, emotional, and even spiritual states of health. I help senior leaders achieve success in implementing positive, long-lasting healthy lifestyle habits that create balance between your work and personal life, empowering you to thrive in all areas.

The client understands that successful coaching requires a co-active collaborative approach between client and coach. In the coaching relationship, the coach plays the role of a facilitator of change, but it is the client's responsibility to enact or bring about the change. If the client believes the coaching is not working as desired, the client will communicate and take action to return the power to the coaching relationship.
Welcome to the #GutSmartClub! … where high-achieving women master hormonal and metabolic performance through a gut-first approach.
